As children most of us have experienced the sheer joy of bouncing on jumping castles, or the tactile pleasure of finger painting! Simply losing ourselves in the moment, with no purpose other than to have fun and play with friends.

The challenge as adults? How many of us regularly experience anything like this now - especially during these current times of burnout, “boreout” and stress?

Researchers at The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH) believe we need to find a way to step away from the worries that preoccupy us as adults. “Everyone needs to find a way to be in the moment, to find a restorative state that allows them to put down their burdens.”

Operation Spycraft™ has been created to enable teams to deliberately play and have fun – creating flow, freedom and active engagement. This combination enables people to temporarily lose themselves, experience diminished self-consciousness and freedom from time, connect with their colleagues and, importantly, restore and replenish.

THE LEARNER EXPERIENCE

In this 90 minute to 2.5 hour challenge, your team of secret agents have been selected to try out for one of the world’s most prestigious secret, clandestine organisations - The Secret United Covert Clandestine Agents Society. Every spy worth their salt is a member!

Your mission then, should you choose to accept it, is to defuse explosive devices, pursue a rogue operative across continents, and crack uncrackable codes. You and your teammates will rely on your wits and quick thinking, as well as your problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.

And as all great secret agents know - expect the unexpected!

As builders, complete with hard hats and safety vests, the participants will be given literally thousands of pieces of the raw material they will need to successfully build and complete their task. The challenge will test the teams’ ability to harness the energy, experience and intellect of their people in a race against the clock and ambiguous instructions to get the job done!
