Insightful. Personal. Engaging.

Family first, only as good as the last time on my feet, striving for excellence, loving my work, engaged and engaging, listener, father, husband, guide, boater and pilot, colleague and partner, hefty mortgagor renovator and gardener , taxi driver to three kids and their mates. Bad guitarist. Awful surfer. Memorable for all the right reasons......

Where have I made a difference to a client?

In July 2014 I piloted a Sales Program for a large media sales organisation. Watching light bulbs come on in people's eyes is always professionally satisfying however more so when I would describe them as "seasoned operatives" who have been doing what they do very successfully for a long time. A participant tried a couple of things from the program and cracked a key account wide open on the following Monday after four years of mixed results. This resulted in major revenue and the sales program subsequently went National. We are delighted to report that they have put some daylight between themselves and their major competitor as reported in the press. It continues to evolve through the great work of their sales leadership team with our ongoing support.

Passionate. Positive. Star.

True belief: “Everybody is a star” (Madonna)

Passionate about positive behavioural change, people potential, and bringing fabulous ideas to life. A relationship person who loves conversations, creating opportunities, and helping people to shine. Start from strengths, driven from the heart. Love my food, travel, Italy, social ventures, and positive psychology. One of my favourites was the creation of a "Thank You Day".

Where have I made a difference to a client?

The team leader had never brought the whole team together before and it was great to work with the client to create and facilitate an engaging day that was all about the team. The focus was on showing appreciation for fantastic work demonstrated throughout the year, providing opportunities for people to thank each other, having fun and motivating people to overcome challenges. Comments floating around such as 'This is best day I've had with the business in 25yrs!' reminded me of the difference we sometimes don't realise we make.

Built. For. Happiness.

"Be useful. And be kind." - words of wisdom from President Barack Obama when asked about his best advice for his daughters. It is a quote I have aimed to live by from the moment I heard it sometime in 2015, and it has been working well for me.

When I was a young child, two of my career aspirations were becoming a clown and becoming a mortician. I saw that both professions were to bring happiness (in theory!) or peace of mind to people until I saw Stephen King's 'It'. As for being a mortician, let's just say it was not my family's cup of tea.

Fast forward to adulthood and while I might not be a clown or embalming bodies, I find joy in helping and bringing happiness to others with my quirky sort of humour! I am fortunate enough to have become part of Phuel, to be surrounded by people with the same sort of positive attitude and being in this environment is nothing but a real treat!

Where have I made a difference to a client?

We supported a major financial services client and one of their charity partners. The brief: to innovatively support the chosen charity to achieve an increase in donations. The client provided participants from a cross section of their organisation and we supported them and the charity using Design Thinker our innovation solution. We worked closely with all parties to bring the brief together on the day and the results have been amazing. The client had a very positive experience and the charity now has innovative and new tangible and achievable goals to aim for to increase their charitable donations and make a difference to the Australian people....

Energetic. Passionate. Genuine.

I’m passionate about:
Cycling, particularly on Italian bikes!
Those magical moments that come with spending time with my family
The Hawthorn Football Club
Food!
Holidays, especially those that involve my bike and my family!
What we do at Phuel and who we do it with!

Every morning at 5am, pre ride, I ask myself why am I doing this? Eddy Merckx, possibly the greatest cyclist of all time once asked the question: “What is talent really?...is it the fact that your heart pumps more volume than the average person’s, or that your blood turns less acidic when exercising? No – talent has to do with your capacity for suffering. You just learn to suffer more.”

That’s why I do it! I feel very privileged to have had the chance to combine the best of both worlds in my role at Phuel. This means being able to stand up and do what we do in front of literally thousands of people and witnessing that wonderful moment when a person's eyes light up as that classic 'aha' moment of learning hits them. It also means being able to have those rich, authentic conversations with clients, challenging them to think differently about their business and their people such that together we ultimately arrive at a far better outcome than they initially thought possible.

Brisbane. Now. Open.

They say you can take the girl out of Queensland, but you can’t take the Queensland out of the girl. So it’s terrific to return home to the Mother State and launch Phuel’s Brisbane office! I love my swimming, and the warmer climate certainly makes the early morning starts and kilometers racked up in the pool a little easier to get out of bed for.

There’s nothing more satisfying to me than helping create confidence in people and enabling them to perform at their best. Having been at the helm of organisations myself, I appreciate the pain leaders can feel when they’re searching for that silver bullet that can make their team and business really sing. The truth is there is no silver bullet, though there are innovative people and ways to get results. Let’s have a chat and see how we might solve your business challenge…

I firmly believe that great solutions come from quality relationships and conversations. I recall a particular meeting in which a client had a clear vision of the end-game, but wasn’t sure what specifically needed to change or how to go about it. It was incredibly fulfilling to collaborate with my client and Phuel colleagues to identify the what, why and how – and implement a solution that had a significant impact on capability, confidence and performance. We quickly discovered that other key business units were grappling with the same issue, so my client could introduce a solution and looked like an absolute rock star in the eyes of her leaders and peers!

Energetic. Engaged. Interested.

Love being part of a team focused on getting the best out of everyone.Working towards growth, learning, development and having fun. Passionate about working with individuals and teams all around the world to achieve business and personal goals and building a growth mindset.

Where have I made a difference to a client?

Working with a client whose people help their customers to make good, long term financial decisions, particularly in planning for their retirement. I received an email from one of the participants following a conversation she had with her customer and told me that her customer thanked her for having such a deep, meaningful and helpful conversation with them to support them in making some challenging decisions about their future. In my job, making a difference for one person can mean making a difference for multiple people.

Engaging. Curious. Persistent.

Military background - learned early on - take care of your people and they will take care of you. Recognise everyone is at different point in their life - my passion is changing lives - allowing people to see and maximise their potential at that moment in time. It's all about people - we must connect, communicate and engage to make a difference.

Love my family, new experiences and learning - always learning.

Where have I made a difference to a client?

During a recent engagement with an IT solutions provider, we facilitated a session where the sales team 'sharpened their axes' and walked away with clear action plans to exceed their revenue targets.

Works. For. Schmackos.

You may have found me because you have seen me facilitate, in which case hello! You may be checking me out because I am going to facilitate at a gig you will be attending, in which case hello! Mum...if it's you again, try alt delete or switch it off and on again....

So what do you want to know? Victim of a bad 80's hit and miss perm? Tick. Do I believe that Dr Hook is a much maligned band of hidden depth and is utterly worthy of a spot on my facilitation playlist alongside all the young people's music that I download to stay hip with my homies? Uh Huh. Bottom line...I'm an affable, candid and pliable bit of gear who sees little harm in giving voice to the thoughts of my dogs (Roy & Archie - whom, fyi, speak with broad scots accents)

And ... "Where have I made a difference to a Client?"... Well, hair and musical wisdom aside... this job is like the Air Traffic Control of self-awareness and change ... I can't fly your aircraft - but I can help keep the planes in the air, and guide them to safe and punctual landings.

Optimistic. Adventurous. Enthusiastic.

I’m a fan of power days, motorbikes and trips back to my NZ homeland. I’ve always been fascinated by what drives people, and factors that create outstanding performance. After a number of rewarding years in corporate fundraising and international development, I began pursuing another passion, facilitating individual and organizational change. I love what I do, and the difference that it makes for those we work with. Keeping Steven Covey’s words in mind: ‘The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.’

Where have I made a difference to a client?

I worked with a client who was losing market share due to an underperforming sales team. In working alongside them, we were able to diagnose underlying issues, recognize skill deficits, and in turn equip them with tools to increase their effectiveness. The result was a turnaround in team morale, leading to significantly improved sales outcomes.

LOUISE EADIE

LOUISE EADIE

Explorer. Competitive. Loyal.

My son is 4, he is adamant he wants to be a face painter when he’s grown up. I tell him he can be whatever he wants to be, follow his heart, be strong, and don’t let anyone tell him otherwise. It’s worked for me.

I’m passionate about spending time with my family, hanging out with my kids, being outdoors and travelling. I miss my homeland, England, but it’s too wet and grey for me to live there! I love sport, whether its watching Liverpool FC, doing a triathlon or just kicking a ball around with my kids.

A time I remember making the most difference to a client is when we introduced our resilience program to a group of individuals who were working in an extremely stressful environment and hadn't previously been exposed to any personal development. They had their eyes and hearts opened to options they never thought they had, whilst having lots of fun at the same time.

MEAGHAN ARCHUNDE

MEAGHAN ARCHUNDE

Quirky. Comedic. Focused.

The best thing about what I do, is the opportunity to connect with people every day and capture and share insights. An enthusiastic karaoke singer with a healthy love of film and movies. I play piano to relax. My husband is a chef which means I have never learned to cook but I make great reservations. A Favourite Quote: “Among my most prized possessions are the words I have never spoken.”

Where have I made a difference to a client?

It was a late client engagement to support a team that had been through a lot of change, was a bit demotivated and wasn't necessarily collaborating as much as they could be. The leader had just been brought on board and was looking for an outcome for the team to become more engaged and agree to above the line behaviours. I spent a day with the team and the feedback I received since the workshop was that they were highly engaged, speaking of the relevancy of the training particularly the resilience messages, and were committed to working together more effectively.

NATHY GAFFNEY

Laughs. A. Lot.

I might have done a bit of singing and dancing and comedy in a previous career, so I’m a big believer in the ‘if they’re laughing they’re learning’ adage. In fact I believe laughter is an incredibly important part of life in general, so I do it every day (although being the mother of a teenage son does provide challenges to that practice). A bit of a closet nerd – I love dictionaries and science docos. Disco is my beat of choice, and I try to stay fit enough to go on long walks – the Inca Trail is next on the hit list.

I’m driven to help people reveal and embrace their potential – whether it be in the areas of communication and speaking, or developing confidence and resilience. We are all ‘instruments of human engagement’ – and I love helping people find their music. The look on people’s faces when it dawns on them that they are capable of so much more than they dared believe – is pretty amazing.

Loyal. Energetic. Genuine.

I am a true 'people person' and am passionate about understanding what makes people 'tick'..

My past working life includes developing and running my own mobile spray tan business, primary school teaching, fitness training and nearly a decade in pharmaceutical sales, so fair to say, I bring a mixed bag of skills to the table.

Outside of work, my two little people keep me on my toes and when time allows, I love a drop or two of a great wine, scrumptious cheeses and a bit of exercise to balance out the first two!

Steev Cole

Steev Cole

Personable. Optimistic. Curious.

I love people, food, laughter, stories, travel, animals, health & wellbeing!

I live by the philosophy of exercising the body & mind…life is an exciting adventure, full of possibilities!

For the mind, I enjoy working as part of a focused and committed team…it energises me, partnering with clients to gain insight into new solutions and ways forward is satisfying and a privilege.

For the body, I live in rural Victoria, sharing a 30 acre property with my partner, 2 cats, 4 dogs and 6 horses. So there is always a lot to do outdoors and in all weather!

A memorable moment was collaborating with a group of project managers to expand their ability to influence and engage, as they were having difficulty in getting traction on projects. We decided to explore and develop new ways of thinking and behaving that was a challenge from the ‘old’ way of thinking. Getting the feedback about the successes they had and the confidence they gained was incredibly rewarding.

SUZAN HARVEY

SUZAN HARVEY

Creative. Curious. Intuitive.

My passion and involvement in the performing arts, being a classically trained soprano and avid dancer has taught me that will, skill and dogged determination, with the love of being in the spotlight has been a key part of what has shaped my personality and passion for success in life! I have a huge belief in self actualisation and that what you choose to believe about yourself and others supports the happiness you create and attract in life.

It’s extremely satisfying when I am able to help a client and get to the bottom of what’s important to them and how we can help develop their people and business. Having a passion for learning, it’s great to see the outcomes individuals and organisations gain from developing new skills and getting those really important ‘ah-ha’ moments. When individuals improve through learning, I see increases in productivity, workplace satisfaction and engagement.

Happily. Ever. After.

This is my second time around at Phuel. I left, determined to have worked out my life’s calling by the ripe old age of 25. Just over 3 years out of the nest and I was ready to return home.

"The hard work puts you where the good luck can find you."

Nothing sums up working at Phuel so perfectly for me. Everyone here is passionate and driven about what they do – and it’s infectious. Just being in an environment that is brimming with so much energy is incredible and I definitely consider myself one of the lucky ones being a part of this again.
